Kathryn Masters: Professional Violinist

Kathryn is a vibrant and passionate violinist who has played all over the world at shows, corporate events and weddings. Kathryn enjoys playing a wide variety of music as a soloist or in ensembles, regularly performing at events throughout the UK. She also spent many years performing on prestigious cruise liners.

Kathryn studied at Birmingham Conservatoire under the tuition of Susanne Stanzeleit, the internationally renowned violinist. Under Susanne's tuition Kathryn won the John Ireland Chamber Music Award and reached the final of the Silvia Cleaver Award with her piano trio 'The Iris Trio'. In her fourth year Kathryn travelled to the south of France for an intensive masterclass with Nathaniel Vallois. This was a catalyst to her achieving a First in her final recital at the Conservatoire.

Since graduating from the Conservatoire, Kathryn has enjoyed huge success as a soloist and a chamber musician. Kathryn has a particular love for orchestral music and regularly plays with professional orchestras across the country including The New English Orchestra and The British Philharmonic Concert Orchestra. Kathryn has performed at the Salzburg Festival, the Pantheon in Rome and at numerous concert halls throughout the UK.

Over the last few years, Kathryn has become a sought after Wedding Violinist and she thrives on making wedding days extra special through her music. In addition to her exciting career as a performer, Kathryn also finds time to teach the violin in schools and privately.

Outside her music, Kathryn has a 2 year old daughter and loves spending time with her family.
